Overview

Clear Skye is identity governance (IGA) built natively on the ServiceNow platform. Founded in 2017, it puts access requests, certifications, and identity workflows inside the system many enterprises already use for IT service management, rather than standing up a separate governance stack alongside it.

What it is good at

The native-ServiceNow architecture is the whole proposition, and it is a strong one for ServiceNow shops. Shared data model, workflow engine, and UX mean far less integration work, faster deployment, and lower adoption friction because employees and approvers stay in a tool they already know. Provisioning and governance depth are solid, and running governance where IT service management already lives gives a single, coherent operational and audit picture.

Where it falls short

The dependency is absolute: Clear Skye requires ServiceNow, so it is a non-starter for organizations that do not run it and ties capability and roadmap to that platform. Authentication and MFA are out of scope. Teams wanting a vendor-neutral, standalone governance product should look elsewhere.

Pricing

Subscription, quote-based, sold alongside a ServiceNow investment. Compare the combined cost with the TCO calculator.

Best for, and who should look elsewhere

Choose Clear Skye if you are a ServiceNow shop wanting governance native to that platform. If you are not, see the standalone leaders via SailPoint vs Saviynt, modern cloud-first options like ConductorOne, or open-source Evolveum midPoint.

Bottom line

An excellent IGA choice for ServiceNow customers thanks to its native platform model, and a non-starter for organizations that do not run ServiceNow.
